A Salt Lake County, Utah woman is facing charges for allegedly attempting to buy a weapon of mass destruction “WMD) online.
Not was it an attempt, but she actually got it, though she was being monitored by law enforcement. A joint investigation between state and federal agencies led to the charges against Janie Lynn Ridd. Ridd is accused of buying a biological agent online, though officials did not release any information about that agent yesterday.
Ridd was ultimately charged after being unable to prove that she could legally possess the biological agent.
