Puerto Rico Struck By A Powerful 6.5 Magnitude Quake

The string of earthquakes rocking Puerto Rico continues.

The second powerful earthquake in two days has knocked out power across Puerto Rico this morning. The magnitude 6.4 quake is the largest so far and struck about six miles south of Indios, on Puerto Rico's southwest coast. That's the same area where a magnitude 5.8 quake hit yesterday morning.

There have been over 11-hundred quakes on the territory since December 28. There was moderate damage from yesterday’s temblor and reports are coming in about significant damage in some areas from today’s event. A popular rock structure with tourists, Punta Ventana, collapsed during yesterday’s shaking along with dozens of homes being damaged and five crumbling.

Residents are said to be scared and “awake” since the nightmare began for them.
