DEMOCRATS IN GLASS HOUSES

Governor Gina Raimondo defended Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg from criticism he presided over, and in some cases contributed to, a sexist work environment at his media company years ago. Raimondo says he apologized for many of these comments. He has apologized for his mistaken policy in stop and frisk, and he has learned from this. Frankly that is what I want in a leader, somebody who acknowledges mistakes, who learns from them, and leads." Bloomberg has spent $300 million of his own personal fortune on TV ads skipping the Iowa and Nevada caucuses and New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries. he won't appear on a ballot until Super Tuesday and apparently the strategy is working so far as he's climbed to third place in the Democratic Presidential poll even qualifying for this week's debate in Nevada. The other candidates have been critical of Bloomberg's big spending...as if they wouldn't like to have his overflowing coffers....plus his so called sins of the past. Two other candidates...Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden better be careful getting into the wayback machine as they've voted for some curious moves including Biden being on board with the Iraq war...something he's been trying to spin since 2002. I don't agree with the Governor on ALOT of things, but on this one I do. An apology is a great start to put bad decisions in the rear view mirror. The public has the memory of a tick and optics just don't seem to matter any longer. Combine limited recall with Bloomberg's massive war chest and memories quickly fade.
