War Of Words Continuing Between Two Rhode Island Legislators

(Providence, RI) -- State Representative Anastasia Williams now says it was fellow state rep Marcia Ranglin-Vassell who called her a derogatory term on the Rhode Island House floor last week. Williams, in speaking to her colleagues last week, had not initially named the lawmaker she said called her a "house slave". But now Williams says it was Ranglin-Vassell and that she decided to name her in public after Ranglin-Vassell released an open letter over the weekend defending herself. Both women are black; Williams referred yesterday to Ranglin-Vassell calling the two, quote, "sistas" in her letter, and in response said, "sistas do not tear each other down".
