Report: CVS Subpoenaed By Feds

(Woonsocket, RI)--Woonsocket-based CVS says it has received a subpoena on behalf of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration asking about the role of its pharmacies in the opioid crisis, according to a Bloomberg report.CVS said the subpoena was sent by the U.S. Justice Department on behalf of the DEA last month.Federal authorities are reportedly looking into possible violations of the Controlled Substances Act and the False Claims Act.
