State Senate Passes Movie Production Tax Credit Bill

(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island Senate passed a motion picture tax credit bill on Tuesday night.The legislation amends the current program by allowing movie productions to use tax credits even if the majority of the production is not done within the state, if the production spends a minimum of ten-million dollars in Rhode Island in a twelve-month span.The bill now goes to the House for consideration.
