New Coronavirus Measures Announced By State Thursday

(Providence, RI)--The state of Rhode Island announced new measures being taken to respond to the novel coronavirus on Thursday.Testing sites are being set up, the CDC has embedded a response team at the Rhode Island Department of Health, and state employees who have traveled to countries that are coronavirus hot-zones are being told to stay home for two weeks symptom-free, among the actions announced by Governor Gina Raimondo, the health department and the Rhode Island Department of Administration.Raimondo says all of the COVID-19 cases in the state are associated with the St. Raphael's Academy trip to Italy, but that extensive measures are being taken by the state in response to the coronavirus being an evolving global public health situation.
