Rhode Island Court System Non-Essential Closure Extended

(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island court system has extended its coronavirus-caused closure for all non-essential businesses through May 17th.The closure includes residential and commercial evictions.A court order was issued on Wednesday that allows a trial judge to schedule a bench trial before May 17th if the trial is conducted remotely with the consent of the involved parties, and if public access is provided.
