Wind A Threat During Storm Today, National Grid Warns Of Outages

(Undated)--The National Weather Service says today will be a very wet and windy day in Southern New England; the forecast is triggering words of caution from National Grid also.The weather service is predicting top wind gusts of 60 to 65 miles per hour for north and central Rhode Island, and 70 to 75 mile-per-hour gusts for the East Bay, South County and Block Island.National Grid is warning the storm could impact 30 percent of its Rhode Island customers, who could be without power for up to three days.
