Rhode Island Unemployment Fraud Being Investigated

(Providence, RI)--The FBI has announced an investigation into allegations of fraud involving coronavirus stimulus unemployment benefits administered by the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.The Rhode Island State Police, U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Inspector General and the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office are all part of the investigation, in addition to the FBI.Victims are encouraged to file reports by emailing Financial-Crimes-at-RISP-dot-gov or by calling the FBI at 401-272-8310.
