COVID-19 Update: It's Official: Reopening RI "Phase 2" Starts Monday

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo announced on Friday that she is signing an executive order allowing the state to move into "phase 2" of its reopening plan, effective Monday June 1st. The plan includes allowing indoor dining at restaurants, and permitting barber shops, salons and gyms to open, with restrictions. Youth sports can also begin in Phase two, but groups are restricted to 15 kids, with no competition between teams.

The governor also announced that Twin River Casino will open on Monday June 8th, by invitation only. Invitations will be sent to a select number of members of the Twin River rewards program.

Houses of Worship will open this weekend but are limited to 25% of capacity.
