(Providence, RI)--The death of George Floyd is continuing to reverberate in Rhode Island.Providence state Representative Anastasia Williams spoke publicly in front of the State House on Thursday, where she described Floyd's death as a lynching and called for a three-strike system for police officers who are the subject of conduct complaints.Another protest related to Floyd's death and the issue of police brutality in the U.S. is scheduled to happen in Providence today.Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare [[ parry ]] says authorities have no credible info about any plans for rioting or violence, but that they are prepared.
