Updates From Last Week's Providence Riots: FBI Investigating

(Providence, RI)--The FBI is asking for photos or videos of people engaged in criminal behavior during last week's rioting in downtown Providence.Sixty-five people were arrested after rioters torched a police car, broke into the Providence Place mall and spread the destruction to city property and downtown businesses; this all followed what was originally an apparent police brutality protest.Governor Gina Raimondo, who called the riots an attack on the city last week, said on Monday that arrests will continue to be made as the FBI works with state police, the state attorney general and others. In related news, the Providence Police Department says an unidentified officer has been placed on paid leave as officials investigate the use of a "less-lethal device" that apparently sent someone to the hospital during the police response to the riots.
