(New Shoreham, RI) -- The president of the Block Island Tourism Council says the island's businesses need tourists to survive. Steven Filippi says that so far this season ferry passenger traffic and hotel bookings are way down because of the coronavirus pandemic. He tells WJAR-TV Block Island is ready to welcome visitor to a safe and comfortable environment.
