(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island House Finance Committee voted yesterday to approve a supplemental budget.A combination of federal funding, the state's rainy-day fund and the tapping of unspent funds from state agencies are being used to address a gap of about 250-million dollars in the fiscal year that concludes at the end of this month caused by coronavirus pandemic-related revenue losses.The Senate Finance Committee discussed the bill yesterday, but plans to vote on Thursday, with a possible vote to immediately follow in the full Senate, according to a report from WJAR-TV.
