Rhode Island's guidelines for phase three of its reopening will provide significant increases in allowable crowd sizes and capacities for both businesses and social gatherings. The state is expected to enter phase 3 around July 1st, with exact details to be announced in the near future. Among the guidelines which will be enacted in Phase 3, announced by Governor Gina Raimondo on Friday:
- Social gatherings (including weddings and parties)
- Indoor limit: 50-75 people
- Outdoor: 75-150 people
- Public Places/Businesses (retail, restaurants, theaters, music venues, offices. houses of worship,etc.)
- Indoors: Increase to 66% capacity (where phase 2 is 50%)
- Indoors: Increase to 1 person/100 square feet (where phase 2 is 1/150 s.f.)
- Indoors: Large venues wishing to have crowds of 250+ must submit plan for state review
- Outdoors: No cap. 6-foot distance must be maintained. Crowds of 250+ are not recommended.
- Nursing home visiting to start in phase 3 with guidance to be provided.
- Youth sports may resume, with guidance to be provided next week
