Bristol Fourth Of July Parade Conducted Despite Pandemic

(Bristol, RI)--The coronavirus couldn't keep the longest actively-running Fourth of July celebration in U.S. history from happening in Bristol, Rhode Island on Saturday. There were changes made to make the parade pandemic-kosher, such as a shortened route, the parade was mostly conducted via motor vehicle instead of walkers, and participants wore masks. The original Independence Day celebration in Bristol was held in 1785.
