Providence PD Says No Fireworks Arrests Made On Saturday

(Providence, RI)--Providence Police Commander Thomas Verdi tells WLNE-TV the police department did not make any arrests for personal firework activity on the Fourth of July.Verdi says the police department did respond to dozens of complaints and shut down operations for the evening, but again, no arrests.The police department towards the end of June announced nearly two-dozen arrests for illegal firework activity as part of a new task force that had been created to address the issue.
