(Providence, RI)Ā --Ā The 122-year-old Henry Barnard School is ending its affiliation with Rhode Island College.Ā The elementary school was scheduled to close at the end of this academic year as a cost cutting measure by the college.Ā But it will continue to operate independently on the RIC [[ rick ]] campus thanks to the efforts of parents.Ā Paperwork has been filed with the state allowing the school to accept donations.
