Parking Changes Sparks Controversy In Narragansett

(Narragansett, RI) -- A parking policy change in Point Judith is sparking controversy in Narragansett. The town council has approved allowing on-street public parking near beach right-of-way access on Pilgrim, Conant and Louise avenues. Patch.com reports supporters say it protects Rhode Islanders' constitutional right to shoreline access. Neighborhood residents are opposed citing concerns about crowded streets.
