Providence School Board Votes No Confidence In Superintendent

(Providence, RI) -- The Providence School Board took a vote of no confidence against its superintendent on Wednesday. Harrison Peters, who was hired after the state of Rhode Island took control of the school district in 2019, has faced criticism for hiring an administrator with a questionable history who now faces criminal charges. Numerous officials are calling for Peters to resign, including Rhode Island Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green.
