Dispatcher Hit By Lightning In Lincoln

(Lincon, RI) -- A police dispatcher is hit by lightning in Lincoln. Police Chief Brian Sullivan said yesterday that a bolt of lightning that hit a police radio tower appears to have traveled through all the building's wiring. The dipstacher was talking on the phone at the time and was hit with a charge. Chief Sullivan says the dispatcher is okay but was hospitalized as a precaution. The police radio communications system and some office computers were damaged by the lightning strike.
