Heavy rain fell late-night Wednesday and overnight Thursday morning in the Greater Providence area from the remnants of Hurricane Ida. The National Weather Service has all of mainland Rhode Island under a Flash Flood Warning until Thursday morning. NBC 10 reports that Portsmouth and Fairhaven received over seven inches of rain. Areas of the East Bay received over six inches, including Bristol. Most of the state received around four inches or more.
