Weekend Woes For Red Sox And Pats

The Patriots are still without a home win after falling to the Saints 28-13 in Foxboro. Mac Jones threw for 270 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted three times including a pick-six. New England combined for 49 yards on the ground, led by their quarterback who rushed for 28 yards. Kendrick Bourne caught six passes for 96 yards and his first touchdown in a Patriots uniform. New England is now 1-and-2 and will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady next Sunday night.

Meantime, in Boston, the Red Sox were unable to avoid the sweep after falling 6-3 to the Yankees in Boston. The Sox took the lead in the seventh after Alex Verdugo scored on a fielding error. Garrett Richards and Adam Ottavino struggled in the top of the ninth. Richards was tagged with the loss after allowing two runs in an inning-and-a-third.
