Governor Ready For Roll Out Of Kids Vaccines

Rhode Island is prepared to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-to-11 upon federal approval which is expected next month.

That was the indication from officials during a briefing on Thursday.

There are about 80-thousand Rhode Islanders within that age category.

Governor Dan McKee added at yesterday's briefing that the field hospital on Sockanossett Cross Road in Cranston is being decommissioned due to declining hospitalizations and high COVID vaccination rates.
