Some people may be seeing a White Christmas this year.
The National Weather Service says parts of Southern New England will see something ranging from a coating to an inch or so of snow Friday into Saturday.
Just enough to get people in the holiday mood before a quick change over to rain.
Temperatures for much of Rhode Island Friday are expected to be in the 30's.
Friday night into Saturday will see another batch of precipitation roll through with some freezing rain before temperatures rise to near 50.
State Police are out in force this holiday weekend making sure that the roads are safe and looking for distracted, speeding and aggressive drivers.
