Residents Wait In Long Lines For Covid Test

The state of Rhode Island is addressing a high demand for COVID-19 testing.

Governor Dan McKee directed over a half-dozen testing sites to remain open on New Year's Day Saturday.

Some people at the Providence Career and Technical Academy on Sunday left without getting a test because of how long the line was. Officials say they are investigating why that happened.

he state is planning to re-open the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence for coronavirus testing and vaccinations next week.
