Mass Attorney General Running For Governor

The Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is making it official.

She is running for Governor of the Commonwealth.

The 50 year old Healey calls herself "The People's Lawyer" fighting for civil rights for all.

Healey has nearly 4 million dollars in the bank to spend on the campaign.

She is competing for the Democratic nomination for Goveror with State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz who says she welcomes the competition in the race.

So far there is one Republican vying for the office and that is Geoff Diehl.

The Healey announcement comes after Governor Charlie Baker announced that he would not be running for re-election.
