State Gets Millions From Settlements To Fight Opioids

Rhode Island is the recipient of a little over 114-million-dollars in a settlement with multiple parties over the opioid crisis.

It covers lawsuits filed by the attorney general's office in 2018 as well as litigation brought by various municipalities.

The money will be used to combat the overdose epidemic.

Attorney General Peter Neronha says today is a good day for the people of Rhode Island.
