An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting in Providence.
Derek Sheppard was apprehended in the Savannah, Georgia area over the weekend.
Sheppard was wanted for the murder of Bernadette Ortiz at a residence in the Valley section of Providence, on Harold Street, last week.
Sheppard will have a rendition hearing in Georgia before being brought back to the Ocean State to face the murder charge.
