Friars Win Triple O-T Thriller

The Providence College Friars are looking to re-join the top-ten ranking in NCAA men's basketball after another thrilling win Wednesday night.

The Friars beat Xavier 99-to-92 in triple-overtime at the Dunk to run their record to 23-and-3 and set a team record for Big East wins. PC has gone to overtime in three of its last four games.

Providence finished 33-68 (48.5%) from the field, 14-29 (48.3%) from three, and 19-29 (65.5%) from the free throw line.

Xavier finished 33-79 (41.8%) from the field, 5-19 (26.3%) from three, and 21-25 (84%) from the free throw line.

The Friars had six players score in double figures in Al Durham (13), Noah Horchler (10), Nate Watson (12), Justin Minaya (12), AJ Reeves (16) and Jared Bynum (27).

The Friars stay home to play Creighton next on Saturday.
