There is another hat in the ring for the Congressional seat that incumbent Jim Langevin is retiring from.
State Senator Jessica de la Cruz is officially a candidate for Congress in Rhode Island's Second District.
The 40 year old State Senator in her second term. launched her campaign today saying it's time to send a regular working mom to Congress. de la Cruz lives in North Smithfield, which is in the First District, but says her family is looking to relocate.
Two other Republicans in the race are former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung and former state Representative Robert Lancia.
