Friars Al Durham: "We Are Just Playing Our Game"

Providence is advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Friars edged South Dakota State 66-57 in their First Round matchup in Buffalo, New York. Noah Horchler and Al Durham each scored 13 points in the victory. Baylor Scheierman posted a game-high 18 points and collected 10 rebounds in the losing effort.

The teams will battle for a spot in the Sweet 16 on Saturday. Providence Coach Ed Cooley says the team is showing great resiliency.

While guard Al Durham says the team hears all the naysayers but goes out with a chip on their shoulder and gets things done.

Fourth-seeded Providence advances to face 12th-seeded Richmond in the Second Round of the Midwest Region. Tip off time is just after 6PM on Saturday.
