Rhode Island Rally For People Of Ukraine Draws Hundreds

Hundreds rally on the steps of the State House Saturday in a show of support for the people in Ukraine as the war with Russia enters its second month.

Governor McKee was among the speakers saying the state will stand with those in need. He asked, “what would it be like, and bombs and missiles were coming down on Rhode Island.” The Governor said there would be no difference.

Meantime, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a social media post over the weekend said that more than 16 thousand Russian soldiers have been killed in the fighting and that many are high ranking military leaders.
