Pawtucket Mayor: Inflation Will Not Deflate Soccer Stadium Project

Professional Sports will be returning in a big way to Pawtucket soon.

Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien says there will be a professional soccer stadium in the city, despite a higher price tag due to inflation.

He says the 11-thousand seat stadium along the Seekonk River, as well as commercial and residential riverfront development will benefit the city.

Meantime, Grebien tells Channel 10 project engineers will soon have a cost estimate and that the developers, state and city will have to provide more funding.
