Rhode Island Keeps State Of Emergency For Time Being

It is something that caught some by surprise.

The state of emergency declaration in Rhode Island has now been extended to May 11th.

It was first issued in March of 2020, in response to the pandemic.

The McKee administration says the declaration must be maintained to receive certain federal funding and is not in response to any metric related to the coronavirus increasing.
