Woonsocket Woman Jailed For Role In Drug Running Case

A Rhode Island woman is being sentenced to federal prison for delivering narcotics.

The Justice Department says Natalie Cassidy of Woonsocket has been ordered to serve one year and one day behind bars for conspiring to distribute cocaine and fentanyl.

According to the charging documents from the fed, "At the time of her guilty plea, Cassidy admitted that, working in conjunction with Juan Batista, 36, of Woonsocket, and Angel Aviles, 33, of Cranston, she delivered crack cocaine and fentanyl to individuals with whom Batista and Aviles brokered drug deals."
