North Attleboro Man To Prison In Steroid Case

A North Attleboro man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for a steroid distribution conspiracy.

David Esser was arrested a second time for continuing the conspiracy while he awaited trial in 2020.

“Esser pursued his criminal enterprise and quest for profit— even after his first arrest in early 2020—trafficking illegal steroids manufactured by the network he oversaw. Complex cases like this require collaboration and HSI is grateful to our partners for their assistance on this case,” said Matthew Millhollin, Special Agent in Charge for the Homeland Security Investigations’ New England Field Office.

Rhode Island U.S. Attorney Zach Cunha says Esser oversaw a sprawling illegal drug operation and funneled the profits into cryptocurrency, which he now has to forfeit.
