The investigation continues on Block Island where police are handling an alleged sexual assault case.
Rhode Island State Police is assisting with the investigation.
The reported assault happened over the July 4th weekend but police have not disclosed where on the island it happened.
Block Island interim police chief Peter Chabot was expected to update the investigation in front of a town council meeting last night. However he opted not to because of the continuing investigation.
State Police are not commenting on the investigation either.
