Investigation Continues Into Death Of Providence Man In Milwaukee

A Providence man has died in an accident that happened in Milwaukee.

Seventy-seven-year-old Richard Dujardin reportedly got stuck on a drawbridge that was being raised and he fell about 25 feet on Monday.

The bridge operator is under police investigation.

Authorities say that police are trying to figure out how the operator missed the fact that there was a man on the bridge.

That operator, according to officials is now on leave.

Dujardin, according to his family was a retired religion reporter and was in Milwaukee with his wife.

A report says that the victim was hard of hearing and may not have heard the bells.

The investigation is continuing.
