Fight Leads To Arrest And License Board Hearing For Local Club

A hearing is being scheduled by the Providence Board of Licenses for a restaurant where a massive fight broke out over the weekend.

Video shows chairs and bottles being thrown during the melee at Mi Sueño Disco on Broad Street Sunday at around 7 p.m.

One person was arrested, Alexander Cerda of Providence, who was allegedly in possession of an unlicensed gun.

Police say it appeared to be a so-called "ghost gun" which is very difficult to trace and has been an increasing issue for police in the state and the region.

The Providence Board of Licenses is expected to meet on Wednesday to consider revoking the Mi Sueño liquor and entertainment permits.

The business will stay closed until then.
