Florid Immigrant Flight Denounced By Congress, Community Leaders

Some migrants who were flown to Massachusetts by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis say they were misled.

An airport official at Martha's Vineyard said two flights arrived Wednesday carrying about 50 migrants, mostly from Venezuela. Governor DeSantis took credit for the two flights, and said President Biden "has refused to lift a finger" to secure the border.

Some of the migrants tell Reuters they were misled about their destination, and were surprised when they landed at Martha's Vineyard.

The Massachusetts Republican Governor Charlie Baker says he is working on a plan that will bring the immigrants to Joint Base Cape Cod where there will be move room and more services available to the immigrants from Venezuela.

Residents on the Massachusetts island offered housing for the migrants at a local church.
