RIPTA Announces Cutbacks Because Of Driver Shortage

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will temporarily reduce service due to a shortage of drivers.

Starting on October 22nd, frequency of service will be scaled back on various bus routes.

No routes will be eliminated, and early morning, weekend and holiday service will not be affected.

It is unclear how long the reductions will be in place for.
