State To Send Child Tax Credits To Rhode Island Families

By the end of the day today we are expecting the state to begin sending out child tax credit payments for more than 115 thousand families across the state.

The state is able to pay for the program because of the huge tax surplus last year and because of federal pandemic relief monies.

According to the program each child, up to 3 will get the credit with income thresholds capped at less than 100 thousand dollars for single person or 200 thousand dollars for a joint return.
