The Barrington Police Department says a resident found a sealed hypodermic needle mixed in their child's Halloween candy this week.
The police department says it is uncertain if this was malicious in nature or just an oversight by someone else.
Parents in the town are being asked to check their children's candy immediately and report back if they make any similar discoveries.
There were no injuries reported surrounding the discovery.
