Providence Mayor-elect Brett Smiley has announced his chief of staff.
The job is going to Emily Cromwell, who was Smiley's top campaign aide and has run his transition to the mayor's office.
Cromwell previously worked as the communications director for Jorge Elorza Smiley has not yet said who will lead the city's police and public safety departments. That could come at any time.
His inauguration is set for January 2nd.
