The first significant storm to hit Rhode Island in two years made its presence felt Saturday and Sunday.
Winter Storm Ember blanketed the state, with snowfall totals that include 11 inches in Burrillville and 10-point-five inches in Harrisville.
Among other totals, seven-and-a-half inches fell in Scituate, six inches in Richmond, and five in North Providence.
RIDOT and city crews have been working overtime to ensure roadways will be cleared for the morning commute, but drivers are urged to give themselves extra time due to below-freezing temperatures.
Public and private schools across the state are on one to two-hour delays.
