Providence drivers should be on alert. This is the first day of school in the Providence School system.
Westerly, South Kingstown, Warren and Cumberland Schools are also headed back to class.
Police will be out in force looking for drivers who pass school buses with their flashing lights on.
They will also be dealing with speeders through school zones.
