A Providence firefighter is accused of assaulting two Johnston police officers over the weekend. Police say 42-year-old Patrick Brearley, was allegedly intoxicated and disrupting customers at the Ave Bar and Grille on Saturday when police were called to the scene.
The responding officers say Brearley refused to leave the bar and when they tried to remove him, he struck them in the face.
Brearley is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
