Five Arrested After Firearm Raids In Providence And Pawtucket

Five men between the ages of 18 and 25 have been arrested following a series of raids that yielded illegal firearms and ammunition in Providence and Pawtucket.

Rhode Island State Police, federal DEA agents and local police took part in three raids on Friday, and they say two of the firearms that were seized were equipped with "sear switches" that allow a user to pull the trigger once for continuous firing.

Police also say they seized cocaine, fentanyl, amphetamines, marijuana and almost 20-thousand-dollars in cash.
